Got a text from a guy i used to work for in his pawn shop today. He was begging me to come back as he said he couldn’t find any good help and he was down to just he and his wife working open to close 6 days a week. I told him he must be desperate if he’s calling the 70 year old for help. I used to handle his gun department and he said the revolving door of people he’s had since then, his gun revenue was down 70%. So I told him I’d come back 4 days a week. To be honest I really enjoyed working there and I consider him a friend so I am willing to help. The reason I left about 5 years ago was I hated going to court,but I guess I can put up with it,even if it means I can’t stay up to 1am anymore, plus I get to see the guns first.

Why did you have to go to court? Was it because of stolen guns people would try to pawn or sell?

That plus a lot of people didn’t realize that when they pawned a firearm they have to do the background check to get it back, and a lot of them shouldn’t have been possessing a firearm anyway. Plus the people who tried to buy but didn’t pass the background check.

That could happen since this would be fun money. Got quite a few the last time I was there including a nice Colt 1911, made in 1918
