Bacon Advice

The only thing as good as a bacon thread is a BROCCOLI thread, just saying...& if some brilliant individual were to find a way to combine the two, I think that person would be memorialized in history, or at least on this Forum!

I have an old electric griddle that recommends 330 degrees. I find it splatters too much and cooks too quick. I turn it down to 300 for a better result to my taste. Other devices may not be calibrated like mine either, so some experimentation may be required to suit your taste.

I like to cook it low and slow in a frying pan with a lid or screen. The oven is good for large batches but I would rather keep an eye on the bacon while it's cooking.I've turned my back a couple of times when the bacon was close to being done and it was brittle.

Never had broccoli salad? Chopped up broccoli, bacon, and a bunch of other ingredients of which I am not sure. Don't be discouraged because it's "salad". It's good!
