Motorcycle Seat Advice

I have a Sundowner seat on my 08 Ultra Glide. It's a tad lower than the factory seat and not quite as wide. It's firm but pretty comfortable.
I replaced my stock seat for a Sundowner on my '07, made a world of difference. With that seat I can go as long as I care to, I've put several 1000 mile days on that seat.
A decent interim solution may be a Bead Rider (wooden beads that go over the stock seat)... I always kind of laughed at these, but ended up buying one for a bike I couldn't get a saddle for and it was a big improvement. Not as good as an aftermarket seat, though.
A guy turned me on to beaded seats back about 15 years ago. I was amazed.....as he said "A million Pakistani cab drivers can't be wrong".

Another vote for a mustang seat. I've had three on three different bikes. Currently using a low down touring model on my Road King. It's not as comfortable as the wide touring models I've previously used but it allows me to have firm footing with my 30" inseam. Since I'm no longer in my fifties I endorse getting the backrest!!

A good seat will be firm enough to keep your butt off the seat pan. Corbin does that for me. The most comfortable seat I own, though, is a Corbin with about half an inch of softer foam over the hard foam and under the seat cover.
Sheep skin and wooden beads can improve a stock seat, mostly by allowing a little air tomcirculate and keep your sweaty butt dry. I have used them both with good effect.
