Bad bore tool?

SCCY has good customer service, even if you bought the gun used. In all probability they would replace that barrel without any hassle. For the price, SCCY pistols are a good deal. The long heavy DA trigger pull does take a little getting used to. Probably the safest gun ever made regarding accidental discharge.

I've been in touch with SCCY by email and they have been great. They asked if I want to return the pistol for 'upgrades', but I will have to call them to see if it is worth the shipping and FFL fun. I got the gun for an extremely low price from a dealer who just wanted it gone. The price reflected what they paid to dispose of an estate for a family who just wanted to get rid of the guns. If there is going to be shipping and FFL costs, it's not worth it. Just mail me another barrel, I'll be thrilled with that.

If you send images of that barrel to the maker I would hope they would do the right thing, which is replace the barrel.

The one time I returned a gun to SCCY, they absorbed shipping both ways and no FFL transfer involved. That was immediately pre-Covid, maybe 2019. Check with them. I would think a pure barrel swap would be the easiest way to go.
