Early 70's pistol with cocking indicator and muzzlebrake. 1 magazine no box or paperwork. I am including pics, how much should I ask?

My data point. I had a similar one for sale with three spare magazines. I priced it at $850 and got zero responses.

That is very helpful! I have a guy that would like to buy mine, and I would like to price it fairly.

I just sold one for $1100.

Watch the model 41s on GB that start at $0.01 - they're the ones getting bids -- to get a good idea of what people are willing to pay today.

Initially I looked through all the completed auctions on GB (advanced search) to see what they are selling for. But there are so few early 41's, and the variations made it difficult to find a comparable sales.

Mine also came with a fitted hard case, but I am not pricing that in the offer. I had not seen a hard case like this one.

I would suggest around $850.00 to $900.00. Has the original grips on it but No false Nose with it. New mags can be bought fairly easily and at a resonable price as well.

I very much appreciate the input! Actually it does come with the false nose (shows in the pic of the case) and the barrel weight.

With those two options I would suggest adding another $150.00 onto the price bringing it up around $1000.00-$1100.00. If he is a good friend then ask the lower of the two figures. Its worth it but keep the wood case for yourself.

Your pistol appears to be worth the price stated above if the pistol is overall as nice as what we can see in the photos provided. My 2007 model 41 did not have the box with it when I bought it and I would sure like to have it. I have always kept the original box for every pistol that I have ever bought. I fail to understand why a person would not keep the box together with a pistol as nice and costly as a model 41?

If I saw the OP's pistol for $850 at a local gun show it'd be a done deal in 2 seconds flat!

Beauty of a pistol you've got there, OP!
