Several times Ainge called him Bernard P. Fife. Barn was reading out of his high school yearbook, and that's what he said it said inside. In another episode, Ainge said "I thought your middle name was Oliver?".
Then in another one, Barn said it was Milton.
I'm an expert on this one. There are 249 episodes. I have them ALL on videotape.
Until "24" came out, that was the best show ever made.

That assumes the scriptwriters got the memo and used the same name every time, and the continuity people were on their toes. Not always a valid assumption.
