Barrel interchangeability between frame size.

Does each Smith and Wesson revolver frame size k,,L.N use different size barrel threads?
Would a L frame fit on a k or a N frame gun?

L .562-36 one piece, 2 piece 44 mag .638-36
N .670-36

the very early 32-20 K frames like the model 1896 used the same barrel threads as the I and J frame. .500-36

I have a loose X frame barrel I will measure and post
