Where? I've looked on-line at numerous places and everyone is still out. Matter of fact, Sportsman's Guide Club sent me a message and said they didn't know if, or when they will get the Remington Bucket of bullets (1400) in stock. I've had them on order a month or so.

i work a LGS in south fla. and we are getting most everything but 22lr... jealous. by the way i lived right up the hill from the old Larry's Pastries. could smell the molasses doughnuts while typing that...

I just got a few bricks of Fiocchi HV plated round-nose this week. Couldn't find anything good locally. Was having trouble finding .38 Sp, also, but found some old .40 while sorting through some ammo boxes and worked a trade with a fellow member of a local shooting group.

Went to Dick's yesterday and they had an estimated 2K of .223 and several boxes of the bulk pack .22 the ammo is out there if your lucky to catch it before it get's snapped up.

I just back ordered some I figured worse case it will be here by July. I got enough 22 to last me tell then. I also like the fact that I am locking in my price and shipping in case something does pass.

By the way it was 2000 rounds of Federal Champion Target around 100 dollars shipped.

That is not surprising a lot and I do mean a lot of people are boycotting dick's. The reason is because they decided to remove all Modern Sporting rifles from there stores. They refused to honor sales that where pending delivery. I have heard a few of the people they refused to honor sales with where police officers. Personally I would just do with out before I go and shop at a place like Dick's

I can understand that but to me the ammo doesn't know any different. I need ammo and they happen to have ammo and they haven't attempted to gouge me like the LGS has. I would love to give my money to the other businesses in my area but unfortunately they either don't have any ammo or they are so overpriced I won't buy from them.

Things are indeed starting to look up. Today I found SK Standard + at $50.25 per brick. Woohooo! Man, that's better than pre-frenzy Midway pricing so I bought a case. Probably more 22 ammo than I'll go through in a year. The wife thinks I'm crazy (nothing new there), but I'm happy with it. -S2

I had gotten lucky and on a whim ordered several cases of 22lr after thanksgiving so I have about enough bricks left right now.

BUT,

The lesson I walk away from these last two incidents (2008 and now 2011) s to never assume ammo will be plentiful. I will start trying to carry about a backup supply of 22lr to get through the surges like this.

i know getoff i remember!! we talked about it once before! that's cool as heck
