This one is currently in the hospital (S&W) getting a red ramp insert installed, by their main surgeon Vito. I hope that he is back home real soon, as I plan to take him out to dinner and feed him a strict diet of .357s.

Ok, here's a 4" 27-2 that I have owned for over twenty years. I don't
have very many pics of it but I'll follow your lead with an outdoor one.

Nice picture and very nice 27.

My 27-2 5" 1978 and 28-2 6" 1979-80

27-2, 8 3/8" factory engraved and a 6" . I got the 6" new in 1972. Went into a gun shop and asked for a .357 Magnum, and that is what was put on the counter. My first handgun.

Pre 27,5"bbl shipped Feb.1958.

Two Pre 27, 6 1/2" bbl. The one with the Red Ramp was factory refinished in 1973.

Nice to see such a collection of 27's! This was my first handgun, bought in mid 70's and carried on duty. 27-2 6" with pachmayr grips. TT, TH.

Great pictures all. Even greater 27s. Can you imagine everyone of us in a line engaging targets with our 27s at the same time? Now that would be impressive. Kind of like a Camp Perry of 27s......
