I've got my eye on a beautiful blued 2.5" model 19-7 recent mfg (no internal lock) with adj. sights in .357 and with rubber bird's head round butt grip. It's alone (no box, etc.) but it is in beautiful 98% condition (fired, but like new with no visible bluing wear). I'm really interested in possibly buying it and they are asking $450 for it....but I don't want to get ripped off. I've checked gunbroker for a relative value and come up short with anything really comparable. Can anyone here give me an idea of the real value of this gun? I would very much appreciate any input.

Sounds like a good price. Not great, but for sure a good price on a great snubbie.

The price is about right, around here, but prices are climbing on 19s every day. If you don't see this sort of gun often and it would be a hassle to track another one down, maybe or maybe not for less money, it might be worth buying.

I try not to let myself worry too much about the price of something I really want, unless the price is just crazy. That price is not "just crazy."

I paid $400 for a 95% 19-5...I say go for it! They're gettin scarcer everyday....

That is a good price on an excellent revolver. The only thing I can complain about is that the ejector stroke will not remove tight cases cleanly. Guess that means you have to make the first 6 count. Seriously that is a prime carry piece, powerful and compact, a great compromise.

Go fo it!

I bought a 4" M 19-5 for $500.00 here in Kali about a year and a half ago. It too is about 98%. I put a set of Nill's grips on it. It shoots great. I do baby it a bit though. I love that S & W blue.

I don't think you will regret it!

Best

I've been looking for a Mod 19 for about 6 months now and Sat I found a 19-3 for $400. I had to get it. I have seen them going for $500+ in and around my area.

He who hesitates will be doomed to keep on looking, it won't be around for long.

Buy it! Around here the 2 1/2 inch M-19's are far and few between. Got lucky last year and picked up a minty no box dash four nickeled for 369.00. Am keeping a eye out for a blued one now.

A reasonable price. Cheaper than I've seen in any stores (and I am Rving from Seattle to Tallahasse. I've been in a few stores).
