Those cursed pesty carpenter bees are at it again. Boring holes in my porch and tractor shed. Broke out the 2" 34 loaded up with rat shot. Killed 11 yesterday. All shot flying. At 4 to 6 feet they fold and fall like a dove hit with a 12 ga.. At any longer distance the patten is too big for a kill. Is a fun way to eliminate these pest.

Not that you NEED a reason to shoot something, but it's good to have one... :D

Funny, sounds like a great way to enjoy yourself! Cheap and productive entertainment. Don

I was just doing the same thing this afternoon...fun and challenging way to exterminate 'em.

Another couple hundred or so and you have enough to fill a skillet!

Years ago used to shoot wasp nest off the barn with primer powered wax bullets in a model 10. I would push the chamfered case down through a block of canning wax and then prime it. It would take a wasp nest down real good.

I was doing the same thing the other day. Much more fun than Lorisban!
