Glad your enjoying it.. cost to functions ratio I think its one of the best mods on a 15-22

It looks great, but what is the purpose of such a massive latch on the charging handle? Seems like it's just something else to snag on? Anyways, great effort and I'm not trying to detract from your work, just curious as to the utility of the modification.

It's so that when you're climbing an oil rig with your 15-22 on a hostage rescue mission, you can charge it with one hand. ;)

Actually extended charging handles are quite the rage in the AR world, they look kinda cool and Belt Fed seems to have a nicely finished product there. I don't use them however.

I live in Alaska and shoot outside. Gloves are a must and this is the perfect solution. Also, I plan to purchase a scope soon and foresee this helping there too.

Because some people do not use risers or they move their optics further back, etc.etc. Which in turn, it sits above the charging handle latch. So you are no longer easy access to it. This allows you to still grab it fairly easy

Understood, thanks for the explanation everyone!

Sometimes a photo is all it takes! :)

I get the glove thing, but one handed? I never put the rifle between my legs and pull the handle with both hands.

With an extended charging handle you can charge the weapon without moving the rifle from you shoulder. If you have ever seen a tactical reload by anyone in comp. their rifle never leaves their shoulder.. it makes the process faster, easier, and somethin that can be done without looking while the weapon is still on target

Belt Fed is on the money. The extended charging handle gives the shooter the ability to run the charging handle without taking the rifle off the shoulder and lose sight of your target. This is key to a run and gun exercise or competition.

I use Belt Fed's extended charging handle on my MOE and a BA Tactical Latch on the 15-22's bigger brother.

Don't knock the extend charging handle latch until you tried it.

Aim small,

TAT
