So after reading 4 long posts i think we can all agree that for the 15-22 FEDERAL BULK PACK,and CCI are the best.

Is it safe to say that remington gold is bad bc i have alot of them and am scared to use them should i be?

The best ammo is one that shoots consistantly in your gun and that you are happy with. Some brands are better than others overall but unless you need tight groupings for competition or very small animals, it all generally shoots within a 2-3" radius.

Don't be afraid of the Golden Bullets if you are looking for inexpensive ammo. Some guns shoot it just fine. I tend to look at it as good ammo for praticing clearing jams and relizing when the gun won't fire. Now having said that, I use CCI for times I need it to fire. If I get a missfire I will know how to handle it. : )

Ive been using CCI for the most part but last week I ordered a brick of Aguila Supermax hyper Velocity just cause it will make a bigger bang =p but i havnt shot it yet

I've had many problems with the Remmy Golden bullet, awhile back I was at the range and there was 100's of them scattered out on the ground, someone else must have been fed up too.
some years back I was camping at a NF site that lots of folks camp at and shoot .22's (so far no attention from the Rangers as it's fairly remote and safe to shoot) and by the firepit was another bunch of them tossed around, 100's of them. another sore user evidently.

Fed bulk and cci only for me. It's not worth the risk to run the Remington. I'd see if a friend has a bolt action or lever to sell the Remington to. They run just fine in those rifles. But, in this rifle they are complete junk. PERIOD!

My 15-22 likes the Fed. bulk Champion and CCI Mini Mag, too. I have run about 300 rd of the FED thru with no hiccups.

Fed Val Pack cycles well for the least $ in my 15-22. That makes it 'best' in my book. As far as what ammo exits the barrel best that's another story.

Rem GB used to be pretty much the standard for .22LR during my younger years. I've probably shot more Rem GB in my life than all others brands combined. IMO, it's not the same ammo today.

I wouldn't be 'scared' to use Rem GB if I had a bunch. Though, I wouldn't bother using it in my 15-22 because it doesn't cycle well. On the other hand, maybe it's a good round to use on a new 15-22 rifle to see if it has weak or defective parts... Rem GB does seem to 'bring out' any weakness with ejectors, extractors and feed ramps sooner than others.

COULDNT HAVE SAID THIS BETTER MYSELF!!!

Federal Bulk is my choice. It's working 100% in my 15-22. I need to start increasing my stock of it though.

Good point, The remington is why mine went back to Smith.

CCI MiniMags are the gold (Copper?) standard. If your gun won't eat them, fix the gun.
OTOH, my Walther P22 will not run 10 Federals without jamming. It will run MiniMags by the hundred.
It boils down to what each gun likes.

lol, we'd probably get along 'swimmingly'.

I have so far only shot Remminton Golden Bullets, and I have had zero problems. Next box I buy is going to be the federal champion bulk pack just to see if they shoot cleaner.

If yours shoots Remington GBs with no problems, you have a real keeper there.

How does one find out about local laws pertaining to buying ammo online? Everything I've looked up refers to New York city and that's it.
