Best CC semi auto handgun for southpaw shooter is...?

Preliminary research has me liking the HK P30SK rear decock no safety model enough to find one to look at. Guns should have hammers😜. In my experience that might take months around here. One LGS within 15 minutes stocks about 12 handguns everything else at least an hour away and something like HK isn't seen much. I could be wrong and get lucky. Thanks again.

Do your research on HK. Find some to hold even if it's not a P30sk. Maybe a regular P30, P2000 or a USP, anything with a hammer. The reason I say that is because HK has many different trigger variations. The USP has the most with like 7 versions. The P30sk has 3. V1 LEM, which is light double action. V3 with rear decocker and V3 with rear decocker and ambi safety levers. All of their versions have different trigger pulls.

If you lived closer I'd let you try a few of mine. HK are one of those guns I can't buy online. I have to try it first to see if I like the trigger

Well taken Arik. I won't buy anymore sight unseen guns (been there done that) but I will also pay special attention to trigger pull on the HKs. I have time and I also want to check out the Bond Arms Bullpup (Boberg buyout and refurb) if and when it comes out. Supposed to be late this year. I tend to not follow the crowd(s).

I guess I really don't know what I'm looking for... I am actually right handed but have always shot left handed.

Find out which is your dominant eye and shoot that way. If you did really well right handed I'm guessing your right eye dominant.
Have a nephew that's right handed but left eye dominant. After sucking at shooting and not getting better he trained himself to shoot left handed and improved greatly.
I'm left handed (for shooting I call it my disability) and like Arik don't need a ambi gun. I use my trigger finger for mag and slide release. Love my 1911's and on them I do add a ambi saftey. Just cannot get to the saftey without worrying about dropping the gun. Only gun I can think of that I can't get along with is a Sig with the decocker. Just to awkward. Was shooting clays one time with my Rem 1100 when a fellow hands me his Rem 1100 left hand model to try. I couldn't operate it!
For CC I pocket carry a LCP or OWB a Glock 26.

Collo, 7 posts back I told the story of shooting left handed, happened to be because I am left eye dominant, realized it early on (6yrs old or so) just didn't have a name for it. My 870 12ga pump with both barrels and my 30-06 are lefties, my muzzle loader very ambi, and my .22 bolt action single shot that I learned on at 6 is a righty but I always shot it lefty. My handguns have been revolvers until recently.

Southpaw here as well brother. I've been carrying a Sig P938 in my front pocket for about a year. 1911ish in design, ambi controls, and with one up the pipe you have 8 rounds of 9mm at your disposal. If you dig into your life savings and spend 50 bucks on a spare 7 round magazine (Thanks Sig!) you have 15 rounds at your disposal. Pretty good accurate shooter, too.
