These would be my choices, in order...

1. 145gr Winchester Silvertip
2. 125gr Cor-Bon DPX
3. 140gr Cor-Bon JHP
4. 125gr Federal JHP
5. 125gr Hornady Critical Defense

The Model 27 is built on the N Frame and is to revolvers
what a Mack truck is to 18 wheelers. You can't hurt one
with any factory ammo period.

Any 125-140 JHP load would be good for your designated
purpose.

Check out the Federal 357 Magnum Barnes® Expander.

Natchez has it in-stock here (mis-labeled 180gr.).
