Best thing about traveling is sampling the local brew. I will ask somebody in trhe grocery/liquor store for a good one and go from there. When I was in Wisconsin, I drank New Glarius Farmhouse Ale. Something about having cows on the bottles.....

My boy just bought me up a 6 OK of Devil Anse Hatfield beer
from down in West by Gawd Virginia. A very tasty brew.

Devils Backbone Vienna Lager out of Lexington Va is one of my favorites and about 3 miles down the road from my house is Center Of The Universe (COTU) brewery that has some really great beers also my favorite being Chin Music. Not big on the IPA's, and when I lived in louisianna my favorite was Abita.

They have a lager called "Spotted Cow" that has a bit of a cult following. Because of the arcane liquor laws in MN, it is not available for distribution in state. So, an enterprising bar owner started driving cross border for some. Word got out, and a raid went down......... SMH......

Here is Utah, like everywhere else these days, we have a number of great micro breweries. To me, we have two stand outs Uinta and Epic Breweries.

New Glarus beers are excellent. You can't get them outside of Sconny, which is okay with me, as it is only a quick trip across the river for me.

Their beers are well-named, too. I don't think I will ever tire of bringing a 6-pack to a party and announcing, "Hey, I brought Two Women".

Yuengling has done well by the micro brew revolution. I like all of their beers but the Porter and Lord Chesterfield Ale are my favorites. Another small Pa brewery is Straubs, from up in St Marys, in the north central part of the state. It's good honest beer.
