I have replaced my Gen 4 G17 with a M&P 9mm 4.25. I have acquired a good holster(5.11 thumbdrive) but im curious about mag carriers. I have used fobus double mag carriers before but im not a big fan of the paddle and they are too big for my MP Mags. Any suggestions? I shoot steel too but i am mainly wanting something that will hold up to the movement of USPSA and IDPA. Thanks

CR Speed single mag holders. They are very adjustable and well built...buy them once and love them for a lifetime.

Currently running the Pro Competition kit from Comp-Tac for IDPA and have been very happy with it so far. You can order the mag pouch separately as well....

Watch those double mag pouches! I recently switched to shooting M&P autos and couldn't be happier, but those base plates can cause a few headaches. I have a normal Fobus double-mag pouch and nearly every tie I'd reach to draw one mag my fingers would catch on the base plate of the mag behind it and pull it out, too. It had enough retention but with the lack of clearance for my fingers I'd drag it out of there...both my .45 and my 9... I ended up switch to single mag pouches so I could space them better; as a note I do use Raven Concealment gear which my not be the best for USPSA but for everyday carry and IDPA they work brilliantly!

I added a pic there DD48 (it just happens to show a M&P as well) ... one of the things I liked the most with the Comp-Tac gear is the mag pouch fixes that exact issue you mentioned !

Raven's products are great though as well. :)

Great pic, Thanks! Glock mags are so different from all the others that you kind of end up spoiled and in your own world when it comes to stuff like that.
