I put a set of Big Dot trigicons on my 3914 and I like them a lot for fast acquisition

Simple answer, the ones you like the best and shoot the best with for your particular needs. The answers you get to this question are going to be the personal opinions of the likes and needs of someone else.
That being said, here's my opinion.
I like the Ameriglo Pro I Dots, with orange front sight. I can pick up the orange quick in daylight, and in low light, just stack the two glowing dots on top of each other.
To me this is quicker than lining up three dots side by side, but again that's just me, YMMV.
They are also reasonably priced. About $86.79 at Optics Planet. Use code RKET4 and get 5% off and free shipping over $50.
Good luck with whatever you decide.
Have fun and be safe.

I like the TruGlo TFX pros. Fiber Optic and Tritium, bright in any light, orange front green rear, durable, 1 hand rackable (I don't think rackable is a word, but maybe it should be :) )...checks all the boxes. I pick them up easily and get on target quickly, although that is more muscle memory than the sight.

I have Novak's Megadot tritium front with a wide notch, plain black rear.
Assuming you follow the notion that you focus on the front, anything on the rear sight is just confusing. If your grip and stance are even close to correct, then you will be fine.

Ameriglo Tritium I-Dot Green with Lumigreen Outline Sight, I tried the orange front sight but found I was used to the green and stuck with them.

I had the XS Sight installed on my Shield. Works well even during the daylight hours. Front sight is large and easy to acquire.

Large front sights bother me, although I have the AmeriGlo orange nite site set on my Shield and have liked it.

I feel I shoot better with a narrower front that does not obscure the target so much and that allows me to be more precise. A narrow front nite site requires only the tritium vial with no outline.

A wide rear notch is still easy to align with the front and gives better visibility of the target, and I like the concept of a single, non-outlined vial at the bottom of the rear.

The simpler your sight picture (fewer guiding elements and colors) the better, IMO.

I am ordering these Heine Straight Eight (dot on top of dot) nite sites, and they have the added advantage of a "ledge" on the rear for easier one handed slide manipulation. They are expensive, but my concealed carry guns are not budget objects for me, rather they are life saving tools. I have enriched the bank accounts of many aftermarket suppliers and gunsmiths, and intend to keep doing so.

I have these as well, and are amazing. Well I dont have the pros, but the TruGlo TFX, and those still are amazing. Picked my up from ebay, at about $100-ish, a bit mmore maybe but overall not that expensive. Recommended 100%!

I'm a real fan of the Trijicon HD sights...my old eyes like that big U notch and large front dot. I can clearly make them and center the front blade in the notch out without my glasses.
