Being of Italian background, I figure I know what's good pizza. You have to start with a well-made dough for the perfect crust, the best cheeses, tomatoes and toppings.

Personally, I favor NY-style because I grew up eating NY pizza, which features a thin crust or Sicilian-style (thick) and a sweet-tasting sauce and lots of mozzarella. I've tried Chicago and didn't like it near as much. Sauce atop the cheese?! No way!
Also, don't care for all the crazy concoctions: pineapple, shrimp, etc.

Frozen pizza is pretty bad, but forced to buy one I'd go with Homerun Pizza, which has a decent crust. DiGiorno is a distant second, but face it, there's nothing like hand-made.

Make mine pepperoni and lotsa gooey cheese coupled with a cold beer and I'm in pizza heaven.
How about you? Weigh in, please with your faves! Let's agree to disagree -- tastefully, of course.:p Hungry, anyone?

I don't fold pizza, so NY's limp goo is out, I don't use a knife and fork on pizza so Chicago deep dish is out.

Here in Columbus Ohio the pie of choice is Tommy's. It is a nice standard thin crisp
cracker crust with fresh toppings, no foo foo goat cheese or endive available.

Forget NY and Chicago, almost impossible to count the real Italian Pizza Parlors in the Boston area.

Only joking, if it is made by real Italian hands, it is good everywhere.

Where I live there is an area of the city called "the hill". If you want good pizza you go to the hill and any Italian place and order. If you want a really excellent pizza dinner you go to Rigazzi's and order cheese pizza and a fishbowl. That, gentlefolk, is heaven.

NY, Chi, who cares!

Please don't chastise me, but I lived in NY for 26 years and return often...and the best pizza I've had is in West Hollywood Ca. Vito's Pizza on La Cienega....they make a white pesto pie to die for...:)

A guy named Vito has to make good pie:p
By the way, we had pizza tonight. After looking at the pepperoni pie for the past 2 hours, we ditched the chicken and stuck a pie in the oven.
