Years ago I subscribed to several different gun magazines trying to find the one that covered revolvers made in the 70's thru 80's. Since I own mostly S&W revolvers made in this time period, is there any particular magazines that I could subscribe to now to keep me current on these guns?
I do have the "Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson" and "The S&W Revolver, A Shop Manual".
Thanks for any help - 4finger

I was gonna tell you revolvers have cylinders and don't use magazines, but never mind

Seriously, revolvers seem to be the red headed step children of gun magazines today that seem to be enamored with any kind of a plastic fantastic bottom feeder.

Revolver articles are relegated to nostalgia pieces it seems.

From time to time American Handgunner has some good revolver write ups. I look through it at the news stand and then make up my mind to buy or not

I agree, American Handgunner has some excellent write-ups on S&W revolvers. Various pistols (usually 1911s) are also frequent topics of discussion. I believe AH is the best gun magazine currently offered.

For revovlers, the correct word really is "clips".

I quit buying magazines bc there weren't many revolver articles (especially abt Smiths). Spend most of my reading time here on the forum. Seems to be my main interest for abt 8-9 yrs. Lots of good info and helpful tips. Larry
