Anyone adjusted the SSA-E to a lower weight? 4 lbs is a lot for me.
I would like a 2 lb. trigger.
SSA-E all day long here. I will never use a single stage trigger again if I don't have to. I love the short take up and crisp break. You definitely know when she's gonna pop.
Ok.. maybe this has been beaten to death (maybe I searched incorrectly, found little) but... what did you have against the single stage. I have both a CMC single stage 3.5# and the SSA-E and to be honest, I don't see the point in the SSA-E take up. Just one more thing to do before engaging 'the trigger' at about 2.5-3# second stage. Once I've decided to shoot, I put my finger on the (single stage) trigger and with a gentle decision translated to my finger the trigger breaks cleanly and the gun goes off. What's the purpose of adding another action (take-up). This isn't a criticism because there are obviously many more skilled than I who prefer the two stage. If there's an advantage I honestly want to know because I paid for it and am clearly missing out.
Does anyone have any experience with the Hiperfire Hipertouch 24c trigger?
I just ordered my M&P 10 and it should be here by Friday. I am new to the forum and I am planning to do a few upgrades in the next 2 weeks. Thanks
Geissele is the best AR trigger you can buy. I personally like the SSA-E model, and run them in all my AR's. Nice, clean break, 3.75 lb, 2 stage, but short first stage so you can run it fast if you want.
HYPERTOUCH 24-3G is comparable on a AR to a JEWELL on a benchrest bolt-gun. If put on an MP-10 you have to lose the ambi-bolt release to clear the overhead booster springs. No big loss unless you are south-paw. The vacancy left by the [removed] ambi-release on the lower can be plugged with a little work and is unnoticeable.
