"Better Call Saul"

BCS is now my favorite. The best character dev. on TV, IMHO.
Jonathan Banks (Mike) even kindly had a picture taken with my daughter and oldest grandson at a Whole Foods in ABQ where they live. Nice guy. Kids also met Bob Odenkirk at a restaurant that a lot of cast and crew go to. Very nice folks.

Speaking of characters-

I couldn't come around to Howard Hamlin's, but I'm starting to think he's doing a masterful job of acting. He's so fake that it's interesting. I like the way he stands when he's waiting for something, like he's made of plastic.

How about the uncomfortable walk with Kim as they turned corner after corner across the office to meet the new Mesa Verde clients! Excellent acting and a great scene. He was cold as ice and then he turns on when gets to the new clients.

I really liked BB (to a point) but feel BCS blows it out of the water. It just keeps getting better and better. Prequel's are usually hard for me to watch but I'm enjoying connecting the dots this time. Very well done all the way around.

BCS is moving a bit slow, but I think the character development is excellent. I never watched BB until it was almost over, got caught up when they had one of their marathons.

BB was good when Walt and Jessie were bumbling around. When Walt made the hard left to the Dark Side, it became less entertaining.

Agreed. That's right about the time I started getting disinterested.
I 'm waiting for season 2 of BCS to end as I'd much rather binge through both seasons rather than wait from week to week.

Watched the season finale and have a lot more respect for Mike now. Anyone who can shoot a .308 multiple times without earplugs and not flinch, plus have a normal conversation with his spotter afterwards has got my respect. Plus, the way he must have leaned into the rifle so that there didn't appear to be any recoil must be a heckuva shooter. Hat's off to him!

IMHO one of the better shows on TV right now. I hope they can keep up the pace and give us years of entertainment...

I especially liked the coffee cup/cup holder in the Mercedes company car. Also earlier with the light switch in his new office that read "Do Not Turn Off". Says a lot about the character development.

After watching last nights episode, Jimmy better call Saul.

I watched Breaking Bad on Netflix and it is slightly different than the version that was on broadcast TV. There were some deleted scenes and the most memorable was during Walter's ride along in one of the first episodes. When he saw Jesse coming out the second floor window there was also a naked woman there as well. That was just one of the most obvious scenes but there were others.

Watching Saul on Netflix, nothing is cut. I loved Saul's line when he said "S'all good man" You know it's coming, probably next season.

I'm hoping that some Breaking Bad stuff gets added in later.

Picky,picky,pickey. It's a TV show!

Yeah, but like so much else in the "development", what did it tell us we didn't already know about him? Just consumed time. :(

.
Chuck is a douche. First role played by McKean that I have disliked the character.

LOL, they are all characters we love to hate. ;)

Is Gus about to appear?

I think we are going to learn that Gus Fring put the note on Mike's vehicle. The writers gave us a hint with the titles of the season two episodes:

1. Switch
2. Cobbler
3. Amarillo
4. Gloves Off
5. Rebecca
6. Bali Ha'i
7. Inflatable
8. Fifi
9. Nailed
10. Klick

The first letter of each - SCAGRBIFNK - is an anagram for Fring's back.

Jimmy becomes Saul. Might have something to do with Weasel Chuck. He makes a deal with Jimmy to change his name in return for not alerting the authorities.
Just speculation.

So, Chuck out cons a con and out scams a scammer and that makes him a douche and weasel.
So far he's been the only moral and ethical character on the show. And it will probably end badly for him. :D
Now, Mike is also moral and ethical or was. Now he just does what he thinks needs to be done to even things out.

He,in effect, steals a big case from his brother which would have gone a long way toward helping him on the path to success and legitimization. He deliberately sabotages the hard work of a respected associate who,for no other reason than her relationship with Jimmy,is trying to further her worth to a firm which has treated her with great disrespect (again due to the influence of the douche). And what kind of brother lies to a sibling whose mother's dying words were "Jimmy"? I disagree, when you tout his high moral and ethical behavior. On top of that he's as crazy as a ****house rat!
