I have searched the internet but I can't find any larger capacity magazines for the BG 380. Are they available?

Lee welcome to the forum, I to have been looking for a higher capacity mag. I also can't find one. The mag it comes with is great for pocket carry but I thought I also might like one for side holster carry if desired with the larger capacity.

Not to persuade anyone differently but I'd point out that one of the best features of the BG280 is it's VERY compact size. Adding even an extra round to the mag would make the gun longer and more likely to "print" when carried. The Shield came with a two length magazines and it's overall height , and its effect on pocket carry was one of the main reasons I sold it off. Food for thought.

Had the Shield to big for me on pocket carry, sold it. The Bg380 is great for pocket carry and I have a Sig Suear P290 that is reasonable pocket carry and good side carry, but the BG380 on the side with an 8 round magazine might be a good option once in a while but I will probably still carry it in my pocket with the 6 round clip most of the time.

Check this...ProMag Industries S&W Bodyguard .380ACP 10 Round Magazine Blue.....

Hmmm. That 10-round mag with the extended grip would make it a lot more enjoyable at the range, but too long for CCW.

oops, sure did say clip. Can't believe I did that.
Indaclub, thanks for the post I will be buying one of those, and thanks to the Op for starting the post.

OK. I'll bite. I can't find anything on the ProMag site except a 6 rd mag for the BG 380. Anyone willing to share a link? Thanks!

To me, the primary purpose of a larger capacity magazine is for carry as a spare. For a decade or more, I carried a Kel-Tec P32 with its standard magazine in a breast pocket, and a 10-round spare magazine in a side pocket. While I cannot imagine an extended fire fight with a "mouse gun," I would rather have the extra rounds and not need them, than to need them and not have them. I now carry a Kahr P380 and no extended magazine is available for it, and sometimes wonder which is the better choice, more power or more rounds.

does anyone have a picture of the 10 round actually in the gun? Id love to see what it looks like but can't find any pictures showing the magazine installed.

Dang that thing looks big with that grip extension! I too would like to see it mounted on a BG, maybe looks are deceiving

I would rather have an 8 round magazine instead of the 10. It does really look big.

Not that I am aware of. Wrote Pro Mags this morning ask if they would or have ever thought of it ? 8 round would be just about right.

Magguts has it new product out for the BG380. At $21.95 (free shipping now) you change out the internal parts of your stock magazine and get 1 more round into the stock magazine housing. Your BG380 becomes 7+1 instead of 6+1. 8 rounds available instead of 7 is a better number for me.
