anyone else see the series ? wondering what long guns they were using & how they were tricked out ? did notice they mostly have flashlights on them.
could anyone tell what the guns where ? just curious .

If Bigfoot was a thing, a soccer mom woulda hit one with a minivan years ago . . .

Or a game camera would have picked one up by now.

Heck, game cameras have provided solid evidence there are mountain lions in Arkansas, something the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission has been denying for years.

I've had a lot of fun hunting for Bigfoot. Gives me an excuse to hike armed, drives my more serious minded friends up a wall (they also like to discuss "getting right with god" ) and my fam can't decide if I'm messing with them or have finally slid into dementia [emoji38]

Several years ago, when I was living in Humboldt county of Northern California, (the same area where the Patterson/Gimlin bigfoot footage was filmed) some cryptozoologists (bigfoot hunters) were looking for some packers to pack them and their equipment into an area in Humboldt county where they would continue their searches.

I was contacted and politely turned down their offer. Turns out they got another packer to take them in. They blindfolded him while they were driving to the spot where they would start the trek in. He packed them into where they were initiating the search and stayed with them for about a week, then packed them and all their gear out.

Funny thing is, 1) they never found Bigfoot, and 2) they stiffed the packer on his fee.

On the bright side, however, the packer learned a valuable lesson...never deal with crazies.:D

Sometimes I'll watch shows like that because they can be entertaining (sometimes), but all the so-called "evidence" ends up being from some other animal or inconclusive.

I did like the series Monster Quest. The first half of each episode were interviews with "cryptozoologists" with their "evidence" and re-enactments, and the second half was interviews with real scientists saying why the cryptozoologists were wrong.

I also liked the ones hosted by Josh Gates, but that's because he's a funny smart-***.

Have no idea what the guns are but being insanely curious, I wonder about how the same type of creature exists in so many cultures. I think that is more of a mystery than if it exists or not. There are clearly folks who truly believe they have had encounters. I have no idea if they exist or not, but there is something to the whole thing.

Big Foot has internet access.

I also find it interesting that so many cultures with no evidence of interaction all have similar myths, monsters, and folk tales. I think many of the myths and legends we have now were inspired by actual events and/or creatures. For example, it's thought that dragons and unicorns were inspired by dinosaur fossils and rhinoceri skeletons, respectively. Ancient people may have seen the trunk opening in elephant skulls and thought they were cyclops.

There's a PBS series on YouTube called "Monstrum" where a myth and folklore researcher talks about the origins and inspirations for monsters from many different cultures.

Or maybe it's some kind of collective unconsciousness, a memory of our ancient past imprinted in our DNA somehow, and then interpreted by later generations.

Who knows? *shrug*

That makes me mad. I don't watch it because it's so obviously fake, and turns out, they are just as fake, because they didn't keep their word with the guy that did.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

One time a local guy had never been coon hunting and wanted to go with my buddy and me. He saw and heard all kinds of things all night long. He asked me what would I do if we saw a ghost. I told him I would put 6, .357 holes in and kill it deader than 4 o'clock. He never asked to go again but I wouldn't have took him again. There are mean animals and people but there are no such thing as ghosts, haints, big foots or any other thing like that.

Plenty of videos of Big Foot on Youtube. Few from LEO dash cams

You may think that Bigfoot, Sasquatch, or Wild Man is total hokum, or a myth.
For me, I know it isn't. I had an encounter up in the Wyoming mountains, and know that they are real.
The thing is, I believe they are highly intelligent, and fairly docile, until you make them mad.
They have a massive amount of muscle, from neck to their calves.
Plus, if you see one, please know, there are more around that you don't see.
From what I saw, they look like pre-historic humans. The pre-human that comes closest to Bigfoot are Homo Heidelbergensis.
It's easy to make fun of, or laugh at someone who has had an encounter, but it's a life changing experience. What happened to me, makes me want to be in the woods more now.
There are too many experiences from different people from many different places on this planet that have had the same kind of sighting to make it more than a myth or legend. And these go back several centuries, in many different cultures.
There are some very credible people that are doing highly credible investigations, scientifically. One such source, that you can look at is YouTube. There are a lot of hoaxers on there, but the real ones you spot in an instant.
Well, enough said for now.
