Bigger grips

I have a model 57 classic. The grips on it look really nice but they are too small for my hand. Any suggestions for bigger. grips? Preferably wood, fatter, and under $100.

Square butt N frame target grips from Thailand (well under $100 new and shipped, available through eBay) or try to locate a set of used SW stocks. You might find a set for right around your price. They'll be a little worn, but for a shooter, who cares? You can alway put the originals back on for display purposes. Check the classifieds here. Those grips come up for sale fairly frequently.

I am going to assume that they are the Altamont produced 1's. These came on my 25-15. (last picture) They were not on it long! Older N targets feel so much better to me. I also like Herrett Target stocks. Bob

I've never tried them, but others here have, with good results.

I've had a couple of sets of smooth combat style grips for K- and J-frames, made of some dark wood (ebony??) and purchased from Thailand via e-Bay. Initially they were a fairly good fit, but it seems they shrank or something over a couple of years here in Central VA and they aren't quite as good a fit any more... I think I can deal with it though, and the prices were excellent. I will probably buy more.
