Bill O'reilly's "Heavy weapons" poll

I like Cavuto also, for the same reasons mentioned above. When I'm tired of hearing the bloviating from Bill, I try to find either David Webb or Andrew Wilkow on the radio, both rock solid 2nd A supporters.

I like O'Reilly and watch his program most every night. However, I have found on numerous occasions his knowledge about firearms, ownership, gun control laws, etc. to be zero. I have emailed him several times (most recently last week) to correct the misinformation he has peddled during his program. I have not seen him correct/amend his comments, nor have I ever seen him craft a responsible presentation about the above noted topics. I think he'd be reasonable enough to listen if some informed person actually could sit with him off camera and explain what needs to be explained. He is as un/misinformed as the knee-jerk jerks on the other side of the fence.

Whenever a gun-related incident hits the front pages, common sense takes a break and is replaced by hysteria. I'm still trying to figure out how to comfortably carry 6,000 rounds of mixed caliber ammo with two long guns, but the shopping cart keeps getting bogged down.

A good friend of mine who works for ATF told me he was screaming at the TV the other night because of BOs ignorance of firearms laws and terminology. He wrote BO including his ATF office number for BO to call and offered to explain the regulations and terminology to BO. Needless to say no one from BO's office has called.

I have to agree that Bill's shows on firearms were terriblely uninformed. He is ignorant about firearms and the regs, as are most North Easterners. He is not stupid. Therefore, there is a possibility that he can improve.

On other issues I find myself liking what he has to say. He has done some good work on protecting children and putting pressure on left wing news media.

Everybody says stupid things. The trick is not to make a habit of it.

I used to watch him but he is what you would consider a "moderate" which means he goes whatever way the wind blows. On guns he knows as much as I do about nuclear physics. I remember some of the times when he had Glenn Beck on how he would talk down to Glenn who is now much bigger than O'Reilly. Glenn by the way jumped on O'Reilly for this on his radio show so I'm sure he's going to get some emails from Glenn's listeners too.

I wouldn't even give him the page views. Bill O'Reilly is an entertainer, nothing more, nothing less and not a very good one at that. He is an ignorant mope and is probably not all Celt.

I don't watch combative gas bags. Remember when the NRA had Rush at their convention, and they presented him with a fancy muzzleloader, and he says something like "Wow, I've never had a gun before." To me Gonzo Ted is a lot better spokesman for the 2A. He knows what he's talking about, and his attitude is no more offensive than these media blowhards.

Heavy weapons.

I'm pretty sure he was talking about the MI rifle I lugged around Ft. Carson Colo. in basic Jan. 1960

O'Reilly's time on Fox needs to end... I stopped watching this guy a long time ago. His arrogance darn nears approaches Obama's. He is the most pompus, arrogant a-hole on that network. The last couple of times gun control came up in the news he was spewing this misinformation too. I will not watch FOX when he is on...

I remember when Bill was on local KMGH tv channel 7 in Denver back about 30 or so years ago. He was the weather guy. He was an idiot then and now. Back then he went by the name "Bill Reilly".

Fox took a huge turn to the left when they removed Judge Andrew Napolatano from the air several months back. Maybe Fox can get Rachel(Chachi)Maddow on as Bill's partner. That might spike the ratings.

I do not watch the moron and I find it hard to believe that his show does as well as it does. I guess many of his listeners like his misinformation and uninformed opinions.

It is my guess that he is protected by armed security probably armed with some of the types of weapons that he rails against.
