Blackhawk in 41 Magnum

I think that the .41 Mag deserves a lot more attention and respect than it seems to get. In many ways it is superior to the more popular .44 Mag and is what the 10mm Auto wishes it was in its wildest dreams.

Still haven't been introduced to the 45 convertible, but getting closer.

Well if I can help a fellow along with a hard decision, ' Do It ! '
It is hard to find a more versatile combo, IMO.

I have had several but this one will be one of the last to leave. An early 3 Screw that was shortened to 4 3/4". With both cylinders. I found a birds head grip for a 3 screw gun years ago and it has found its way home on this .45.

10.4mm versus 10.9mm - .410" v .429". That speaks more to the human proclivity to split literal HAIRS than to any real-world difference between the two cartridges.
Of course the .41 wasn't born to be a "magnum," but to be an improvement over the .38 Special in use by the POPO, but quickly found itself at odds with the established .44 magnum. That's because the ammunition companies established a "police load" and a commercial "magnum" load.
The two are so close as to be indistinguishable, and certainly nothing being shot by either will ever notice the difference!
