I recently “discovered” the show.
I really enjoy both James Spader’s acting and the character he plays, even though the premise of the show is far fetched. I just accept it for what it is and enjoy the show.

I saw it once and liked it. Mostly for James Spader. I thought it was off the air. Where can you find it now?

Like most shows, it derailed a little in the later stages. He was pretty good with that BHP. Really enjoyed it, and tried to watch all the episodes.

I’ve been watching on Netflix.

One episode he has some miscreant bound to a chair. Red (Spader), smoking a cigar douses said miscreant with vodka trying to get some kind of information from him. After the guy tells Red what he wants to know, he sticks the lit cigar, now just a nub, into the guys mouth. He turns away, saying, he (Spader), can’t stand the suspense. He turns back to the guy and shoots him.
I literally LOL’d

I love BHPs and fedoras. Even if far fetched at times, it was very good. And a perfect ending.

Red Reddington just may be my all time good guy/bad guy character.

Its main theme is that a great criminal can always corrupt an agency such as the FBI by ratting on rival criminals. And do it with style.

I really enjoyed it - until the episode where the FBI was investigating a "bad" person who owned a company that manufactured inexpensive handguns.

Anyone else notice how much the character “Mr Kaplan” looks like the former Speaker of the House?
