Blade Sight Question for K Frame Pre-Model 10

I have a question for those in the know.

When did Smith stop putting the blade front sight on the K Frame 38 special 6 shot 5" barrel revolver?

Advise when possible.

Having no front sight blade would not have beeen good marketing for S & W - hard to get a good sight picture without one .

If you are referring to the change between the rounded vs. serrated ramp front sight, that would have been 1952.

I agree this was a confusing post. Like you, I suspect he is asking about the M&P with the half-round front sight. Of course, if he is inquiring about the target sight guns, everything changes. Right?
