For those who haven't been following this saga, everything works now. I'm missing a couple of parts, but it still fired 50 rounds today."Smoothly".

No binding-up and no punching an "oval hole"for the firing pin" to push metal out and "grab" the cylinder.(like before).

Armorer got me aimed in right direction.

FIRST PIC: Check my pics, I will show how bobbing too far will allow the firing pin moved too close to its "back stop" allows pin to swivel up higher than the hole, then it punches it OVAL.

SECOND PIC: Notice that the over-bobbed firing pin socket is missing the
top of back support. Notice the picture shows how the pin aims HIGH
and probably stays-there due to enertia.

THIRD PIC: Shows lip raised by pin striking too high. Then grabbing the passing cases.

That hammer was clearly "over-bobbed", as you put it, and this was the cause of your problems. The entire back of the hammer was removed and the firing pin has no "backstop" to halt its upward motion. I have not looked at your posting history on this topic, but whoever did the bobbing needs training if he wants to work on guns, and that's putting it mildly!
