The DOB would be mid-1920s. Interesting refinish, but it looks like a gold wash rather than plating, but that might just be the photos posted. This gun is not original in finish, so did not come from the factory that way. The stocks are also from a later date and do not fit well.

This gun is quite flashy and certainly would be an interesting carry gun or would definitely generate discussions at the range
 
It also appears to have a later vintage barrel. The tapered sight 2 inch barrels didn't get into production until the 1950s.

Another clue the barrel was originally longer is that the front end of the extractor rod has been removed. A gun of that vintage would have a 'mushroom' knob like the top gun. If it was originally an early snubnose barrel the rod end would be knurled like the bottom gun and have a half round front sight. But these weren't made until much later than your gun.
