Has anyone painted the front sight on their 380 bodyguard??
If so what color what kind of paint, etc.

I did mine. Helps get quick acquisition with the BG380 quite a bit.

I use (and have always used) Testors model paint . it's available at most hobby stores and even Wal-Mart.

Use a toothpick to apply sparingly(!). Start with a coat of white and let dry an hour. Then go over it with your chosen to coat color. I use red on most of my painted sights.
If you hate it, any number of solvents will strip it right off.

Yes, I painted my BG380 front sight. I used some finger nail polish my wife had in a reddish orange color. That was about 2 years ago and it still looks fine. I carry the BG380 quite a bit during warmer weather, so the paint job has stood up to some use.

Amazing how well that fingernail polish has held up when it won't stick to a ladies finger more than a few days.

I used "white out" on my front sight. Holding up well and really helped me see it much better.

Even though my gun safes are predominately S&W, I went with the Ruger LCP over the Bodyguard (but that's a whole 'nother thread). Just the same I used finger nail polish in lime green and it has held up amazing well. It has been approx. 3 years and I have only touched it up once. On my 422 I used actual front sight paint by Bright Sights. The stuff was pretty much worthless and lasted one range session. Tried it again on a S&W 642, again worthless. I used model paint on the 422 and 642 and that has worked very well. So my recommendation is to stick with the fingernail polish or model paint.

Took your advice, and check it out. Huge difference.
