Hi,

2 trips to range so far with brand new Bodyguard 2.0

First trip was about 50 rounds of LA Ammo 380 JHP. A few FTF but nothing out of ordinary for first shots. Entire batch seems to have light primer strikes in about 20% of rounds. Confirmed this was also issue with another 380 pistol so ammo issue. Ended with 10 rounds of Underwood Extreme Defense which resulted in about 2/3 of time not going into battery or failure to feed.

Thoroughly cleaned and lubed.

Second range trip brought other 380 ammo. Shot 100 rounds of Winchester White Box FMJ range ammo flawlessly. Shot 20 rounds of Sierra JHP flawlessly. Fiocchi 380 FMJ many issues with 50 round box with FTF. The Fiocchi have a round tip while the Winchesters have a partially flat tip. Also again tried Underwood Extreme Defense and could not get them to feed reliably. All issues occurring with both the 10 and 12 round magazine, which are very tight - 10 round will only fit 9 and 12 round will only fit 10.

Also rear sight needed adjusting. This is least accurate out of box pistol I have ever shot.

I am aware they say put 450-500 rounds through for break-in and I will probably go through another 200 rounds of Winchester but does anyone have any recommendations at this point? Underwood is my preferred carry so its extremely disappointing I can't get it to run. LCP Max (which had issues to start) will stay my pocket carry until I can get this worked out.

Thanks

I have 3 s and w pistols and none have had 1 single ftf or misfire in a combined 3000 plus rounds, never had an issue with any of my revolvers either 22 mag,2 357 mags and a 44 mag im either Lucy or smart for buying pricey ammo

Fiocchi was the only ammo I had any issues with in BG2.0 and I think it was 3-5 FTF's out of 200 rounds or so. I have had no issues with any other ammo FMJ or HP's etc. I have about 1,400 rounds through my BG2.0 at this point with no issues.

Winchester White box was a problem for my 9EZ and I do not buy it anymore for any caliber.

Try to find the particular loadings that are reliable in your pistol , if Underwood isn't among those that feed reliably, so be it.

And no, it shouldn't take 500 rounds to "break a pistol in".

In fact, the only pistol among the many I own over quite a few decades that required any breaking in was my S&W Model 41.
