Like many others, love my BG 2.0 but it is shooting a little left. Has anyone adjusted the rear sight to correct this? Anything I need to know before drifting it slightly to the right?

Regards

Both of mine shot to the left due to the front sights being slightly to the right. Had my local 'smith center them now both shoot to POA.

Mine also shoots left. Seem to be common . A hundred plus rounds of different types and 3 different shooters. All nice groups 2-3 inches left at 10 yards

I pushed my rear sight slightly to the right. Took a good bit of force with a sight pusher to move it. Front sight seems centered.

Haven't got back to the range to verify. Hopefully this weekend

With Blazer Brass, mine shoots an inch left at seven yards. With Fiocchi, it shoots dead on. Go figure.

I’ve got to eat some crow! I’ve been shooting 2 1/2 years now, mainly micros and my misses are typically left as a newbie - I blame stock 5, 6lb trigger pulls as my issue, anyway. When I see folks complain about low left on their new gun and they change or adjust sights, I laugh. I took my BG 2.0 to an indoor range today to shoot another 200 rounds, 500 total now, got gun yesterday. I invited the gunsmith to shoot my gun because I knew he was a big LCP Max dude. He set target at 10 yards, shot 10 rounds rapid, 2 inch groupings, 4” left of bull. He took gun to shop, knocked front sight left and came back. He shot another 10 rapid rounds, still 2” left of center. He then knocked rear sight to right and gun was shooting center. He moved target to 25 yards, shot rapid again and hit 6 out of 10 silhouetted head shots (3x5” size in target we were using). Great shooter, better than I and lesson learned, sometimes it is the arrow, crazy! Oh by the way, he’s getting a BG now, lol!

Haven’t shot mine yet but the front sight is pretty clearly off center - I’ll take the chance and move it and we’ll see after that.

Our family owns 3 copies of the Bodyguard 2 and I had to drift the sights on each.
Trying to keep both the front/rear sights as centered as possible on the slide, I used a combination of slightly drifting the front and rear just enough to achieve shooting a 1" circle out at 7yds.

For those who drifted their sights, did you use a pusher or a punch?
My new sights will be here this week, but the pusher I have won't fit, so I have punches ground down to fit. Popsicle sticks will line the upper part of the slide, so it will chuck up in vise to prevent tipping.

I used this one from Amazon . I got it when it was $10 cheaper . Chinese knock off but worked OK . Still took a good bit of force to move the rear sight.

Now hits dead center .

My FS was to the far right side of the slide cut—on a new gun—wow. Anyhow, I used a sight pusher I’ve had for years to get it somewhat centered; range time will tell the outcome. I was a bit of a problem to get set up because of the slide design, otherwise, no issue.

Mine was shooting to the left a little as well. I divided up the windage adjustments by drifting the rear and front sights by half. Just got to remember you move the rear sight the direction you want the bullet to go but when you move the front sight, you’re chasing the bullet holes on the target.

Isn’t it odd that all the sight complaints with this gun are shooting to the left? I picture some cross eyed tech setting the sights on these!

Shoots left . . .

Just got the BG2.0. Put 100 HSL Ammo rounds through it yesterday and it consistently shoots 2 to 2.5in to the left at 7yds. Right out of the box I noticed the FS is skewed significantly to the right and the RS skewed slightly to the left. I will move the FS to the left and report back. I expect it to tighten right up.
Note the S&W BG2.0 manual certifies the average accuracy at 7yds is 1.7” for barrels shorter than 3”.

Seven yards offhand.
