I love my Bodyguard 2.0 but find it very difficult to rack the slide (old hands). Is there a way to lighten the spring safely?

This question has been asked many times and I’m certain the engineers at SW would have figured that out by now if it Would not effect the way the gun runs to have a softer spring.

Do yourself a favor and buy a Handy-Racker (the green one is the correct one) it makes racking the mod 2 a breeze even for these 80 year old hands of mine.

Based upon the number of "issues" with the BG2.0, I would not trust the "engineers at SW" with a rubber band and bobby pin.

Lol, mines a perfect EDC. Some folks can’t shoot micros or finagle a recoil assembly, it happens.

Sorry, just now found this thread.
I too struggled with the slide of my Bodyguard 2.0 when new due to arthritis & neuropathy.

Having somewhat painfully hung in there till passing the 400 round mark, it is noticeable easier to rack the slide than when it was new.

It’s soft shooting due to its locked breach and low bore axis and ergonomic design is what sold me in the first place; and had kept me holding on.

I simply put some grip tape over the serrations on the slide of a Taurus TCP that was extremely difficult to rack and it made it very easy. My hands will be up to 83 next month.
