Pics for reference. Shoots flat nose fmj fine. If I insert my mag with the slide open, and press the slide release, it will not chamber. If I insert mag with slide closed, manual rack the slide and easy the slide into battery, it will chamber.

Polished feed ramp which kind of helped, but not much. Pmc hp will chamber fine. Issues with both mags.

I think another member reported the same issue. I cannot recall if/how they fixed the issue.

I actually saw that post, but the post just ended with no solutions unfortunately

My problem was with the lower feed ramp. Did you polish both the upper and lower removing the ridges?

I bought my BG2 in early August. The feed ramp had already been worked on by the shop armorer.

This past Saturday, with my BG2, myself and 4 of my range buddies shot Magtech FMJ, PCM Bronze FMJ, Sig V-Crown JHP, Hornady Critical Defense FTX, Hornady Custom XTP, Federal HST Personal Defense JHP, and Winchester PDX1 JHP, with ZERO failures.

I have not tried my Winchester 95 gr FMJ Flat Point.

I did but I’m thinking it needs to be polished more. I’ve never polished a feed ramp before and I’m afraid I’ll take off material. When I know that won’t happen with a polished wheel on my dremel. Correct?

Thank you for that link. I’ll have to see if I can find a cone bit polishing pad.

I have often found that a piece of emery paper, a Q-Tip and some MOTHER'S Wheel Polish (or Simichrome, etc.), with a healthy helping of "knuckle grease" can work wonders on a feed ramp...

Eventually!;)

Cheers!

P.S. With this method you don't have to worry about removing too much metal.
