I just bought a bodyguard 380 and could not be happier! I have heard complaints about the trigger but I dont think its that bad. This gun disappears in my pocket and shoots great. I highly suggest the bodyguard 380 to anyone in the market for a small pistol.

Bodyguard 380

I too just bought a bodyguard...very excited about taking it to the range this weekend...will post my review afterwards

I've seen a lot of people complaining about it, but honestly I love mine, ergonomics better than most every other .380 on the market and accuracy is pretty darn good for a gun in its class. Plus I can easily CC whenever I need. The trigger takes a little getting used to with the DA long pull, but not so bad after a few hundred rounds.

I love mine, it's way more accurate than a gun that size should be and disappears in any carry method I use. I don't always carry a .380, but when I do I carry the BG 380 (with confidence).

The BG is the first gun I have owned. I have fired about 350 rounds and haven't had any of the major problems that I have read about. I have had several jams and miss fires. Being new to firearms, the miss fires might be the wrong term. After several pulls of the trigger the round does go off. So is this a problem with the ammo or the firing pin?

misfires are a major problem

Roll, your 380 should fire every time the trigger is pulled on ammo. Are the misfires related to one box of ammo or to several brands? You need to verify this. If you have the problem with two brands or more, you have a problem with the 380 and need the manufacturer to solve it.

If it does not fire, what's the use?

I had one and sold it after needing to pull the trigger twice to get it to fire. This happened with Federal and WWB factory ammo. Unfortunately, the firing pin remains an unfixed problem on the gun - what is disconcerting is that you just don't know then the Bodyguard 380 is going to fire and when it isn't, nor can you predict when your firing bin will break.

Its funny to me because I read many complaints about the bodyguard on this forum and many other gun forums that I frequent have so many positives about the gun. I love the bg380 and trust it!

The misfires have been on 2 different brands ammo, Fiocchi amd FMJ.

misfires = back to the manufacturer

Roll, take it back to the seller and have them contact the manufacturer. You want and need a gun to FIRE with every pull of the trigger. You cannot accept anything less.

Give it time. I was a happy camper through approximately 350 rounds, at which point I began to experience light strikes requiring a 2nd trigger pull to fire, and this was with two different types of well-regarded, factory, new-in-the box ammo. that had worked just fine through the first 350 rounds.

I really liked the little gun and wanted it to work out, but I just could not tolerate this in an EDC, self-defense piece. I still love my little S&W 442, though.

Hardly an all-inclusive list, which would be evinced with some simple research. If it won't shoot Winchester White Box and Federal American Eagle reliably in an extremely well-maintained gun, which was what I experienced, then something is wrong and needs to be fixed.

Mine fires Federal, WWB and S&B with no problems, haven't tried any other brands yet.
