Bodyguard functioning issue

Bought a used BG w/laser recently. (Seemed to make sense as I had a small stash of .390 ammo). Anyway, all was fine, took it to the range and it ran well. Cleaned it, and have carried it for several months. Figured I would take it to the range again. All of a sudden, I can't "fully" rack the slide. It won't go the last 1/8" that allows you to engage the slide stop or use the disassembly lever. What the heck could it be? Recoil spring kinked? Jeez, I don't want to send it to the factory, that would be a monster pain. Any suggestions, or am I doomed?

The laser mount screw is known to come loose and lock up your slide. Its a big problem in the older Bodyguards.
If thats it, you have to send it back.

Bodyguard probblem

Makes sense - I "played" with it last night, and the problem certainly seems to be in that area ( though the laser still seems to continue function OK). I appreciate the advice.
