Booze may be at Texas Gun Shows.

Italiansport, it is interesting that the Crossroads of the West shows in your state do not allow alcohol sales. Here in California alcohol (It think only beer) is sold. I have never observed any problems or people obviously intoxicated although I wouldn't say it never happens. The local Sheriff's departments maintain a pretty high profile presence at the shows here and bad behavior of any kind would be nipped in the bud, as Barney Fife would say. People don't drink at gun shows like they do at sporting events.

I was recently at a Houma, La. gun show where there were beer sales. The only thing I didn't like about it was the price of the beer was too high. I usually wait until after the show anyway. Gunbroker taught me that.

Our shop used to do some of the Pennsylvania gun shows, at least some of them sold beer at the food courts. Never saw or heard of any problems from it.

Since Texas does not allow concealed carry by anyone who has had any alcohol, this would make no sense at all to me. It would be like setting up, anyone dumb enough to have a drink, to get busted.
