For those of us in Central Texas, the gun show going on today in Bryan is an excellent venue…. There’s plenty of vendors, plenty of S&W products, new and old. Lotsa walking room. It was packed yesterday afternoon, and it’s going on all day today. I bought 3 J frames yesterday, and will post pics soon. I got a nickel Airweight Model 38 in superb condition, a likewise very good condition Model 49, which is a steel bodyguard. I also found a 4” Model 34-1! Those are pretty scarce. Very good overall show.

I was scheduled to be there, but Covid 19 decided to re-visit me this week...Reports I have are a barnburner for some, and just a big noisy crowd of lookers for others...Most reports are comparing it to Tulsa......Ben

Wish the shows in NW Louisiana were still like that. I've given up on them for the past several years and will save my $10.00 for something else. Between the same old overpriced weapons, ammo, and knives show after show, the potato peelers. the women's jewelry, and the beef jerky, it is a total waste of time and money for me. Have to go to Texas to find anything close to resembling a good gun show these days.

I put on a Gun Show in Tipton, Indiana. My parents helped get it started in 1976 with the first owner. Im the 4th owner. Try to keep it the way it started in 1976 with out flea market crap. I enjoy the older guns, and think most gun guys do. Show is both new and old. Come and see us Oct. 4th. & 5th for a "Old style gun & knife show in the middle of corn country. Pat.

First one is a Model 34-1, .22LR, 4” bbl. Scarce gun.
Second is a Model 49, steel frame .38 spl bodyguard gun.
Third is a Model 38, aluminum framed .38 spl bodyguard gun.
The 34 is the only one not pinned. All are in superb condition.
Unsure of the reason the last picture came in upside down. I have 5 humpbacks now. 638, a 649, and a blue 38.

You are correct sir as my meager supply is down to one only 4" supported by two 2" versions...Mine (thankfully with pinned barrel) came to me in a correctly marked, but possibly non-original box...I kept them together anyway because - why not?......Ben

Tom, nice to know there are currently some good shows, as the shows here in Nevada have been on a study decline since Covid. That said, there are still some good finds, but they are harder to find and sellers aren’t wheeling and dealing much lately; they want yours for nothing and sell it for top $$$.

Same thing here. Didn't get COVID this time, but the Mrs. was exposed. I had been looking forward to this show for months. I will have to settle for New Braunfels in September.

A friend talked me into going on Saturday and for me a 3 hour drive. Not sure what the lever action crave is today, but to each their own. Some good pricing, once again many things overpriced. I did pick up a box of low velocity 22's that I like using in the yard for varmints. I would definitely like to see the attendance record for Saturday? When we left around lunch the lines where down the street to get in, with traffic backed up to the main road!

I would have liked to made that one, but a friend and I went to the Canton show, then hit I-20 East to Bossier City and went to that show. There's always guns that are overpriced at shows, because you might as well start high and then you can come down in negotiations. If you ain't hagglin' you ain't shopping hard enough. Glad to hear they had a good turnout at Bryan. They shouldn't even try to have a show when the Aggies have a home game, the hotels are outrageous.

I was planning to go but it was a 2 hour drive each way. Also I went to the 1st New Braunfels show a few months back and it was ok but small.

Nice to hear a positive report on a gun show.

I went to one in Tucson a couple of weeks ago and it was a disappointment. Better than our local show, though, which is usually awful.
