Botach.com

Since you're bumping old posts, answer this.

Why does your company charge people for things you do not have? Why should they even have to fight with your company to get their money back? If your company holds someone's money for two weeks, how much interest can your company make a year if that happens to 1000 people?

Well, Grog, I think your request went to the Botach customer service section....................

I think you might be right! :)

But in the hope we might get some meaningful responses here, I have another question for Botach - why do you issue a "UPS shipping label" or whatever it is called......which UPS then NEVER receives to go about their business and deliver? I'd sooner you be upfront if you haven't got something in stock, rather than this bait'n'switch.

My experience with Botach wasn't the best, but seems to be better than most of you experienced.
I placed a web order, didn't hear back for a week, called a few times more and was told an item was on backorder and due in a few days. After 4 weeks with no replies to my emails or voicemails I found a response to a post from Dan@Botach on a complaint site. I emailed him, he replied the next day and said the item was still on backorder but could ship a similar one. It shipped the next day and I wasn't charged until it shipped.
The prices on some of their stuff is great, especially with the 15% checkout coupon I used. BUT they have horrible customer service. If I ever order from them again I'll deal directly with Dan.

I might be tempted to try them again if I were given a 95% off coupon w/ the items shipped COD.

Might be too late if you're thinking about Christmas 2010. Maybe 2011 if you order soon.

On that link you'll never guess who is posting and making excuses. Give up? Our pal Dan. Same old line... hundreds of orders just a few fall through the cracks blah blah blah. There are horror stories..... and some real upset folks who say they are Military and Police. 'Just a handful....'
