Bought my personal Holy Grail of Smiths

Nice! I didn't even know these existed. Excellent post and backup info gentlemen, thank you.

I can't wait. I counted my 9 mm rounds and still have around 3,000 left. That should be enough for the first range day. I've got an old LEO catalog where these things are listed for $79.95 each. My first department got some of these through LEAA back in the 70's. I was a young plain clothes officer back then and carried one with two extra mags in my unmarked car. Do you know what happens when an angry mob surrounds you and you fire off a stick? They run over each other leaving.

Charlie, you incite more angry mobs than anybody I've ever known.

Just to make sure we have LOTS of fun, I just got back from our favorite local Class III dealer, where I got this S&W clone MK760 for a whole lot less than the S&W. Of course, both of them together cost less than the Thompson I was considering, but you know what they say about twice the fun.

Oy Vey

And I ain't even Jewish..Except for no suppressor looks like the one I was issued many many moons ago. It was a very controllable gun when shot right. The ole Gunny that fixed up on mine showed me all about it. He made it really work and stay much quieter when fired. I was all of 18 and he was a really old guy..probably all of 35 at the time..but he did know his weapons:)

Wow, am I jealous! I've wanted a 76 ever since reading about them in some old Police Supplies catalogs I poured over as a kid. Congratulations on a rare and exciting piece of S&W history. And to echo a fellow forum member, if only I lived in a class III state. My absolute favorite full auto (with the possible exception of a Ma Deuce)!

Vampires need a wooden stake in their heart...

It is Werewolves that you kill with a silver bullet...

Real silver of course....

Congratulations on your Sub Guns.

There's another forum member that owns one of these bad boys but I will respect his privacy and not out him unless he wants to play. Wicked little beasties-but they are expensive to feed.

Leland Ray:
Congratulations on getting your Grail gun. So far, I've gotten a
couple of dozen "Grail" guns; Just always seems to be another one out there waiting....
If possible, could you do a range report, with pics, or maybe even
a video?? Please? Haven't shot full auto since Noah's days with the Green Machine.

Hey, Cajun. I contacted that forum member and asked him about something or other. I guess he still has his, but I think he just drools on it and stuff instead of shooting it.
