I went to a M&P40 PC Ported running a Trijicon RM07 as my primary SD carry gun about three years ago.
I'v put about three thousand rounds through it without a single malfunction of any kind.
My wife and shooting buddy liked the RMR but didn't care too much for the .40s snap so when I recently got the opportunity to buy an unfired PC9 Ported with a Trijicon RM06 I bought it for her.
It has the entire Apex works (plus additional extra ((??)) Apex stuff), two extra mags, and 400 rounds of ammo.
We've shot it one time and after putting in a lighter weight flat wound recoil spring it functioned flawlessly with the cheap ammo and also the light loads she runs in the custom Browning HiPower I built up for her.
I roughed in the RMR before we even shot it and then fine tuned it for her down at our range.
I put the small rear back strap on and that seems to fit her best.
She is a very happy RMR / M&P owner.
We took some phone videos of shooting it at a "fairly rapid" pace and the the muzzle hardly rises at all and I dumped an entire mag on a steel IDPA type target and tracking the dot is very easy.
I'd never consider it as a SD gun with the Apex stuff but it sure is a fun range gun.

Nice! My PC Ported 9 is my favorite M&P and it's an absolute joy to shoot.

Love it so much I've been thinking about buying the 4.25" version too.

Was at our local Cabela's, now a Bass Pro store, yesterday. I see they still have a few of those gen 1 PC pro pistols they are trying to get rid of. Some pretty good sale prices on them.

I paid $800 for the lot.
Two extra mags, $80 worth of cheap Academy Sports ammo, and a bunch of Apex stuff (that I'll sell when I get time to sort it out) so I don't feel I got hurt too bad.
A full size PC Ported that came out of the Performance Center three years ago and one that came out three days ago are virtually identical.
There are currently no 2.0 full size PC Ported guns.
I bought a 5" M&P Pro 9mm when they first came out in 2010. I thought about putting some of the Apex stuff in it but I very rarely shoot it anymore so I'm going to sell the "extra" Apex stuff.
I notice that on the S&W website they don't show the M&P Pro Series anymore (or I couldn't find them).
Perhaps that's why Bass Pro has them on sale.
I'm sure each store may have different inventory but on their web site the only PC models they show are the Ported Shields. No full size.
Cheers

That's a great deal. I have my 9mm EDC set up similarly, and it cost me a lot more than that. Until one has had the chance to really run a properly set up red dot pistol, one cannot now how much better the system is.

I've got a little over $1,200 in my M&P40 PC Ported, Trijicon RM07, and two extra mags (though I bought four extra) not counting the holster.

So when I saw the PC9 Ported listed for $800 with the other stuff (though he never mentioned all the exrta Apex stuff in the ad) I thought it was probably a scam.
Turns out he's a H&K guy and bought the M&P9 on a whim and then didn't like the feel of it when he got it home.

VERY true.
I find it amusing that most if not all of those "authorities" who decry a RMR on a SD pistol have NEVER even shot one, but of course they have read what "famous" trainers have said.

First, I am not putting the gun down at all here. Lots of love for the PC Pro M&P's. But the 2.0 version has to be just around the corner here, you'd think.

This store always seems to have the 5" 1.0's. I don't know if they just have a deep stock of them, or if they just don't sell. I was sorely tempted to get one about 1.5 years ago, but then the 2.0's came out, and it became kind of hard to spend money on the gen 1's, at least for me.
