Bought today, Victory Model, What have I got?

This is with a 148 grain wadcutter and 3.0 grains of Bullseye. Now to clean it and put it to bed in the pistol safe.

Looks like that 3.0gr BE load was just the ticket. I might have to try it some day. ;)

I'm glad she's turned out to be such a good shooter.

Somewhat off topic :

Anyone questioning the originality of the finish on a revolver in the future should refer to the OP images above ... look at the S&W logo on the right side. Not only can you see the crisp sharp edges , but also the slightly raised surfaces caused by displaced steel. I don't think you will ever see that sharp detail fully survive refinishing. That picture would serve well as a "before" picture in a sticky on "How to tell if a finish is original..."

Excellent images ; another fine old Victory.

PS - If I had traded a $450 gun for that Victory I would be feeling pretty smug about it.
