Box worth anything without revolver ??

Somebody gave this box with paperwork and a little cleaning kit in a plastic bag to me a few years ago. I'm cleaning out some stuff and wonder if it has any value or should I just trash it ??

the box, and everything inside has value, especially the cleaning tools...not sure how much.

the cleaning kit is worth around $35 to $40 and the box is probably worth $20 to someone (or at least the insert, tophat, and paperwork since the box has been wrote on)

Wow, thanks for the information. The picture may not show it but the cleaning kit has not been opened.

It's worth more than you think. Put it on eBay and it will sell easily.

Pity it is not for a 586 6" or I would have been all over it.

If you have ever bought or sold on ebay you should sell it there. Put it on with a good description and pics and let the market tell you exactly what its worth.
An easier option is to post it on this very forum for around $50. It may or may not be as much as you might see on ebay, but it is MUCH less hassle.

Just went to a local gun show last weekend. All of the S&W and Taurus handguns sold with an additional fee of $35 if you wanted the box. Has anyone ever heard of such a ridiculous option? I never have, and can't believe the gouging by these dealers.
