Broken 4566

I have a broken disconnector on my 4566. The factory one appears to be made of plastic. I find it hard to believe that a gun made almost entirely of stainless steel would have a key part like this made of plastic. I have had no luck at S&W .com. I am wondering if any one else has had this same problem and if a metal disconnector is available.

The disconnectors are the same for all of the 2nd and 3rd gen semi's I looked at in the parts list, including a couple of the value series which are plastic in the ones I have seen. It looks like the item number for the metal one is 104210000 and the plastic one is 239070000.

S&W should have some left. You can call S&W CS at 800 331-0852 and give them that number. It appears that Numrich's has them and maybe Brownells.
