A friend recently decided to part with his Challenger III after finding a very nice Challenger I. I didn't know much about them, so I did some research and deemed it a desirable pistol to have (obviously not as much so as the Challenger I). It was in very good shape, I'd say 90-95% and came with one magazine.
Got it home and after checking it out, tried it out. It functioned flawlessly and was very accurate.
I didn't realize at the time but magazines are somewhat difficult to find and run ~$35.
Anyone else have one of the beauties? I'll try to post a few pics a little later on.

Don't have one but have been lusting. There have been about 6 come up on Simpsons in the last week and it has been killing me watching them get sold within hours.

I bought one last year but haven't shot it yet as I seem to pick up my S&W Model 18s when I go shooting.
They appear to be nice guns and I got what I thought was a good deal on mine.

The Browning Challenger's are fine shooting guns.

My collecting disease first manifested itself as an accumulator of early Browning Challenger's, Nomads and Medalists - focusing mainly on the Challengers. Just as I was reaching a curative stage I was hit with S&W revolver disease from which I now realize I will never be cured.

I bought an '82 Challenger III about 20 years ago. Mine came with the original box and manual (which I still have).

They are well made and very accurate pistols. I picked up a second magazine a number of years ago.

Would not part with mine.

I have a '68 Challenger - the original all steel version. Try finding a magazine for that one!
