I am looking at a 1933Browning Superposed Broadway Trap with 32 inch barrels. Looks in ok shape. Question: it has a pachmeyer pad. How can I tell if the wood was cut or not ? Thank You. Is 800.00 a fair price?

My pre-war has been cut so I'm unable to measure but I would guess LOP should be close to 14" to the end of the wood.

What is the serial #, and why do think it was made in 1933? Need pix... what is the length stock without pad ? Is it a LTRK, or LTSK? long tang round knob or LT square knob stock? I've never seen a Broadway trap from that era.....

Serial number is 5xxx no letters . With butt pad removed , from front of trigger to wood is exactly 13 inches. Square knob stock I guess

Broadway Trap Model wasn't introduced as such until 1961. Why are you calling it that? If this O/U has the broad rib that the BT model has it was applied later in life probably by Briley or one of their competitors. IIRC the uncut stock of a trap model should measure at least 13 1/2" to the butt ending of the stock, not including the recoil pad. There is a faint chance that the barrels from a Broadway Trap was retro fitted to this action. There should be a code for the date of manufacture on the barrel someplace under the forearm. ...

Big Cholla makes some great points.
A factory B'Way Trap Superposed had a standard LOP of 14-5/8" including the recoil pad.
HOWEVER, back in the day, you could order 'em to your own specs.
Broadway ribs arrived in 1961, and a brand-new Broadway Trap in Grade 1 cost $ 350 !!
Don

that's what I couldn't figure out....someone mis-understanding the serial # system, a retrofitted parts gun... or a custom job.. or someone mistaking a rib for a Broadway... I had both a 30" Broadway & a 32" Broadway both in the good luggage cases... I wish I kept them both.
