iibgdi,
I like how you roll. You want what you want and you go for it. Even though I wouldn't make the same choice, I can respect yours. If you're on this trend, I have a few suggestions from my own "arsenal" past and present.
You need an AK-M chambered in 7.62 x 39. It checks off the 30-caliber semi-auto rifle off your list.
My current is a Kalishnikov Concern (pre trade sanction) AK-M conversion outfitted with Magpul furniture.
I had an Aloha-Snackbar! underfolder type from Blackeart Interntaional that I gifted to a close friend.
I used to own a Benelli Supernova Tactical shotgun. I never had the opportunity to shoot it and my home defense reality doesn't make a shotgun a good choice. It's a sweet shooter.
You need a Ruger 10/22. Trust me. Mine is modified under the skin.
Target. I had two flyers
I highly recommend a Mosin Nagant. I had one for a couple years. I learned how to remove cosmolene because of this rifle. There is nothing like shooting a rifle with this type of history.
I highly recommend an IWI Tavor. It's the only modern sporting rifle chambered for 5.56 that is patterned after a military rifle that I own today. I got off the AR-15 bandwagon.
Mine is the 18" barreled model. I eke out every bit of velocity the 5.56 can provide in a package that just fits me. I dropped in a Geissele Super Sabra trigger pack and it's perfect. Is it a 100yard tight group rifle? Sure it can be, but it's not what I need it for. What it does for me is provide fist size groups on targets at 100 yards under quick fire off hand.
