Anybody know any good internet sources for bulk ammo?
It would be for the range so I'm not to particular, even Military Ballistics Industries or BVAC re-manufactured would do at a good price

Basically, I'll be looking for 1000 round each of
38 Special
40 S&W
and depending on what the wife eventually gets either
9mm or 380 acp

I get all my range ammo from www.mastercast.net, a Mom and Pop reload business way out in the wooly bushes south of Pittsburg. I've fired off many thousands of their .38sp 138gr LWC and 9x19 hardcast LTC without a single problem. Top quality product, prompt service. Especially cheap if you send them your spent brass in exchange (same type and quantity). I get a thousand each of .38sp and 9x19 in a USPS Priority Mail ten buck box. That is a huge saving over any other way I know of.

By the way, if you do a search on several websites such as this one for "mastercast", you will see that I am not alone in supporting them.

For self/home defense, my revolvers are loaded with Remington +p .38sp LSWCHP -- the FBI load. My T-series Browning Hi Power is loaded with standard pressure Speer 134gr Gold Dots.

Cordially, Jack

Cheaper Than Dirt, Georgia Ammo, Cabela's and AIM Surplus could all help you with that.
There's a place called Bulk Ammo.com (I think) that might be another place to check.
Also The Ammo Man, Lucky Gunner and The Sportsman's Guide.

I've had good luck at this place with both bulk ammo and cast bullets.

Georgia Arms - AMMUNITION

The regular stuff is mixed brass. but the stuff marked "NEW" is Starline brass.

I haven't bought any loaded ammo there for a while since I'm still reloading the brass from what I originally bought. :)

+1 for Mastercast. I use their cast bullets exclusively for my .38 and .357 handloads. Also they are NORTH of PittsburgH :p PA by about 45 min.

Have fun and be safe.

Online ammo buying can be a good deal in terms of price, but you have to factor in the shipping costs. If you live on one end of the country and buy from a company at the other end, the shipping costs can eat up any saving from buying locally.

And on top of that, most all online ammo places will ship UPS or FedEx and have an "adult signature required" clause. And with that type of requirement, the drivers will not leave it at the door so you either have to wait until the next day or go get it from their facility.
